ADLINK’s Vortex DDS is the intelligent data sharing platform for business critical Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Vortex DDS includes DDS implementations that can be used to support a range of device technologies, operating systems and programming languages required by a project. Combining deterministic data delivery, system-wide data sharing and support for data analytics, Vortex DDS helps system integrators, OEMs, device platform vendors and Cloud service providers (SaaS, PaaS and DaaS) deliver software solutions for many vertical markets, including: Aerospace and Defense, Energy, Transportation and Industrial Automation.

Project goal

Given our expertise in software development and the Data Distribution Services (DDS) middleware, S2E Systems was hired to strengthen the software development team of ADLINK. The goal was to provide support implementing new functionality on the existing codebase of ADLINK’s DDS implementation, in particular for the DDS Security plugins.

What S2E achieved

Over the contract duration of 2 man-months our team has implemented new functionality in the existing codebase using mainly the C programming language. To ensure the quality required for its products, the engineers at S2E also developed unit and integration tests following the validation methodology used by ADLINK for software development.
